ABOUT US

LATHAM ENERGY'S team has developed a gas-to-liquid process that converts

unwanted flare-gas into tank-ready, ultra-low sulphur transport fuels

Flaring gas is a costly and  unwanted by-product of oil field operations.  LATHAM'S team has has a process that converts flare gas to tank-ready, ultra-low sulphur diesel and other transport fuels.  As part of this process, LATHAM installs, maintains and operates our proprietary equipment at the well-head.  And using a variety of commercial models, LATHAM is able to generate incremental revenues from this fuel for oil well owners and operators using their existing and unwanted flare gas.

In addition to generating a significant new revenue stream, owners and operators are able to avoid costly permits and fines associated with the flaring and venting of natural gas.  And our process yields significant environment benefits because we eliminate harmful gas flaring and venting.

The LATHAM System is built upon a century old and proven technology.  We took this technology and improved upon it.  This coupled with a manufacturer with decades of manufacturing experience, a strong performance bond and experienced operators ensures that LATHAM is positioned to be  a trusted partner to oil producers and operators around the world.

THE LATHAM ENERGY SYSTEM CONVERTS WELLHEAD GAS INTO ULTRA-LOW SULPHUR TRANSPORT FUELS AND NAPHTHA USING A BONDED, LOW OPERATING COST, SELF CONTAINED UNIT

LATHAM has built upon and developed a proprietary fourth-generation Fischer Tropsch gas-to-liquid process.  Our refining process utilizes our exclusive cobalt-rhenium catalyst which offers significant, enhanced benefits such as:

  • A simplified industrial process

  • Up to 2x the output of conventional processes

  • The near-clean output of ultra-low sulphur diesel, aviation and other transport fuels which need for further refining

  • A self-sustaining system that produces on-site water and power

  • A scalable system;  from a portable 50 bpd machine to fixed installations with no practical upper capacity limits

  • Performance guarantee (bond) issued by the manufacturer to ensure against loss of production / revenue

  • Machines with a 20+ year life cycle

  • Our process generates medical grade, potable water at volumes equal to 1.5 times the fuel production  capacity

  • Units that are built and maintained by a recognized, oil industry certified, EPC contractors
